The Shoroq project aims to provide psychological support to students dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.
The project includes 21 nature-based activities led by mental health professionals to reduce stress and promote mental health. These activities cover topics such as stress management, mindfulness, and positive thinking to enhance students’ coping mechanisms.
The project aims to empower and provide students with the tools needed to reduce daily stress and enhance resilience and self-confidence. The project is delivered through 5 sessions, each lasting 3 hours of different practical training, some of which are outdoors, on the beach, in nature reserves, and parks with open and safe spaces. These sessions focus on developing children’s skills of empathy, resilience, and creativity, in addition to social and community skills.
