Al Rajaa Organization announced the launch of the virtual reality tour "Jerusalem History and Civilization", the first of a series of seven tours aimed at familiarizing students with the cultural and historical heritage of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Old Town. These tours are part of creative educational projects in Jerusalem, which seek to promote cultural identity and connect students with their city's history in a modern and innovative manner.
The first round starts from Bab al-Amud, passing through traditional markets such as Khan Oil Market and Al-Attarin Market, down to the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and ends in the alleys of the Old Town, which beats the spirit of everyday life.
These tours are interactive in nature, allowing students to integrate into city details and features, thus enhancing their educational experience. The upcoming tours will also cover the doors and neighbourhoods of the Old City, along with the landmarks of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, such as the tribal chapel, the Dome of the Rock, the Marwani chapel, arcades and minarets.
The tours are given with a voice-over that enriches the journey, highlighting the cultural and spiritual aspects that make Jerusalem a city of historic stature.
The tours will soon be shown in schools using virtual reality goggles, as part of the Organization vision to provide innovative learning tools that promote a sense of belonging and highlight the importance of cultural heritage in a way that combines cutting-edge technology and cultural awareness.
